Sugar Plum and his littermates were born to a barn cat and spent their first few months living outside. A good samaritan was helping their elderly owner get his cat population under control and asked us to take these babies in December – and we were happy to get them into rescue, so they didn’t end up as outdoor cats!
Sugar Plum is a beautiful little guy. He loves to play with other kittens, chase toys, and receive pets and love. He doesn’t love to be picked up and held, but will check in with me frequently for head scratches then get back to his busy schedule of play. 🙂 He’s just been such a great kitten! He’s also VERY treat-motivated! Sugar Plum LOOOOOOVES his morning Churu treat and will try to steal everyone else’s while he’s at it!
Sugar Plum has interacted with my small dogs and many other cats and kittens in rescue and does well with all of them. He would do fine in a home with other pets with slow introductions. Kittens do best with a buddy – Camp Kitten requires young cats to be adopted in pairs if there isn’t already a young cat or kitten in the home. Sugar Plum is initially nervous around new cats and kittens, so will need some time to adjust to his new bestie. 🙂
