Daniel Tiger (named for the sweet, timid Mr. Rogers’ puppet) was a feral kitten, brought into a local clinic for a TNR (trap, neuter, return) appointment. So the plan was to neuter him and release him back into the wild. But this 8-week old nugget didn’t deserve a life of Minnesota winters, so we welcomed him into rescue and have been teaching him that people are okay!
Daniel Tiger is still timid. He would much rather be snuggling or playing with other cats than humans. But he has NEVER been aggressive or lashed out in fear. He just sort of pancakes to the floor when I approach. But he’s still young and can continue to be socialized. He also LOVES food and has gained quite the potbelly since joining us! 🙂
Daniel Tiger LOVES the other felines he has met here – even when they don’t love him. 🙂 He can see my small dogs through a baby gate and is pretty unfazed by them. I think he can adjust well to a home with dogs, given slow introductions. We are looking for a home that has at least one other young cat that could be a good buddy to this sweet boy. He loves to snuggle into another cat for naps.
