Mama Adelie showed up in a barn in Pine City where she soon birthed her litter of kittens. The owner had seen her – identified by her very distincitive face markings – on his trail cam for a few years, so we estimate she is a little over two years old. We took her and her kittens into rescue, so they can live the good life as indoor cats for the rest of their days!
Adelie is a VERY sweet cat. She was intiially wary of new people when she joined us in rescue, but she’s settled in beautifully and loves attention, treats, pets, and will jump in to play with toys with the younger kittens. She is happy to be a part of things and will hang out until someone wants to give her love. She is just really chill and lovely.
She has gained significant weight since joining rescue(!) She has shared space with kittens, so has maybe gone a bit too hard on the high-calorie kitten food. She would benefit from a much more limited diet once she is in her forever home, to get her back to a healthier weight.
Adelie has done well with my small dogs and has been SO SWEET with all the other cats and kittens she has met here. I think she would adjust to a home with other animals with proper, slow introductions.
Adelie is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, and microchipped. She is being fostered in ANDOVER. If interested in meeting her, please complete an adoption application on campkitten.com .
